    Copyright is a way to protect one's own original work. When a copyright is in place owners have exclusive rights to their intellectual property. They also get to decide how their work is used and distributed. Those that use a copyrighted work must give credit to the owner and possibly pay for it. Fair use is a set of rules that were created as a part of the Copyright Act of 1976. These rules allow users to copy works for nonprofit educational purposes, but only within reason. As a teacher I would deal with these concepts when developing my own instructional materials by being careful not to use copyrighted works. I would also be sure to use proper citations when necessary. When instructing students on how to create their own works, I would make sure that they are careful to go over copyright laws and that they are aware of how to properly cite their sources.      Some technology implementation issues that occur include risks to student privacy and cyberbully...

         I used MS Word throughout K-12 to type up formal essays and projects. In high school most of my assignments were completed digitally through MS Word. In my junior year of High School my english teacher showed the class how to use Google Docs. Prior to this I had never used anything other than MS Word. Following learning how to use Google Docs I almost exclusively use it to complete written assignments and take notes. I prefer Google Docs because it automatically saves my progress as I type and I can access my work on any device at any time. The only time I use MS Word now is when it is required for an assignment.      The ISTE Standards for Educators lay out some guidelines for educators to encourage their students to think critically and collaborate with one another.        Hi everyone! My name is Grace and I am from St. Petersburg, FL. I am a junior majoring in Information Communication and Technology (ICT), and I also have an education minor. I currently work at Chick-fil-a, so definitely say hi if you see me! I also have a cat named Luna, she is 7 years old and the light of my life.     My prior experience with technology in an educational setting mostly includes utilizing the computer lab. At all of the schools I attended growing up, there was a computer lab, as well as laptops, that students had access to. I also was able to use SMART board technology throughout my education. I am very familiar with educational sites like Canvas and myFSU. I have also gained a lot of experience with programming softwares such as Visual Studio Code, mySQL, and Android Studio through my major. I am the Historian for my honors fraternity so I have also become familiar with Canva through designing flyers and social media posts.   ...
